Bernie Little Distributing Acquires Distribution Rights

for InBEV and Rolling Rock Brands

OCALA, FL - Bernie Little Distributing announced today that it acquired the exclusive distribution rights for the InBev and Rolling Rock brands from Cone Distributing. The InBev brands include European imports Stella Artois®, Beck’s®, Bass Pale Ale®, Hoegaarden® and Leffe®. The Rolling Rock brands include Rolling Rock® and Rock Green Light®. In February of 2007, Anheuser-Busch purchased the import rights for the InBev brands, assuming responsibility for their sales and marketing strategy in the United States. In May of 2006, Anheuser-Busch purchased the Rolling Rock brands from InBev. 

Bernie Little Distributing, based in Ocala, now owns the exclusive distribution rights for the entire portfolio of Anheuser-Busch beer products for a large geographic region of north central Florida which includes Marion, Sumter, Levy, Citrus, Dixie, and Hernando counties. Commenting on the purchase, Ken Daley, president of Bernie Little Distributing, stated, “We are truly excited to acquire these great brands, and look forward to accelerating their availability and growth in our market. Most imported beers have experienced robust growth over the past few years; however, the InBev brands have not enjoyed the same level of growth. This has been due to limited availability and promotional support. And Rolling Rock is one great tasting beer, especially when it is fresh. We believe our proprietary sales, merchandising and quality control systems, when coupled with the marketing prowess of Anheuser-Busch, will significantly grow these neglected brands.”
